About
U.K. artist Tim Moyo AKA Moyo creates music that is a nod to the legends of R&B and Pop in the past but also incorporates modern electronic elements that draws comparisons to artists such as The Weeknd, and Usher, however there is no mistaking that this English artist with Zimbabwean and Egyptian roots is uniquely his own.
Spending his formative years in Hailsham Town prior to moving to his current town of Eastbourne, England, Moyo briefly picked up a guitar at age 7 but later immersed himself in sports until dance films like “You Got Served”. This led him to winning trophies & later becoming crew leader for his local dance crew. Tim Moyo had solidified himself as a dancer before finding his voice.
Picking up free piano lessons as a piano salesman was not a bad trade off and Moyo continued his journey in creating music with the help of musical influences Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Trey Songz, Mario, Miguel, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and Rico Love.
Moyo is a versatile artist lending himself as a songwriter to multiple advertisements including a multiple Clio award winning commercial placement for Bayer, advertisements for Bentley, World Cup, Talking Stick Resort Casino and more. Moyo’s writing accomplishments have also led him to compose a song “We’ve Got Five Nights” for clients Shiloh & Bros garnering 10 million views on YouTube. He has achieved viral status on TikTok with his song “The Breakfast Song”.
Currently his Spotify streams total over 5 million and he has gained popularity with top producers globally. This led Moyo to be invited to open live for popular French artist Orelsan at the Accor Hotel Arena in Paris, France for an estimated 17,000 attendees.
Moyo’s energy and drive is also inspired by his close-knit supportive family, recording music in the family home shared by his Grandmother, Mother, and Sister.
Currently he is working with a number of electronic producers requesting him to collaborate as well as his own solo music and he continues to write and compose commercially out of his home studio in Eastbourne, Sussex, UK.
